The Execu|Search Group recently hosted a Lunch and Learn on the Future of Work and HR at our office in Parsippany, NJ. The event, which included a panel discussion, was attended by over 30 of our clients.
During the panel discussion, which was moderated by Execu|Search’s Lisa Carver, attendees heard from three leading HR experts, Maryanne Spato (Founder & CEO of C3 Talent Strategies), Bernadette Palumbo (Vice President of Human Resources for North America Operations of BASF Corporation), and Michael Owen (Chief Human Resources Officer and General Counsel of Easterseals New Jersey). They presented on a variety of topics, including:
- What the future of work will really look like, and how it will impact organizations as they seek growth and success in an era of change and digital transformation
- Why HR is ripe for innovation with a rapidly changing, complex business environment including artificial intelligence, digital HR and design thinking
- How HR leaders can shape the skills, careers, and workplace culture to align people practices with business goals
“Factors such as a declining unemployment rate and technological innovations make it clear that the workforce is changing,” says Lisa. “Despite these changes, HR will always require a human element. Our panel speakers explained the role that HR plays in the future of work and how they can help business keep up with the pace of change.”
