To celebrate another summer of hard work and achievement, The Execu|Search Group recently held their “Events Day” for all of our offices. This annual occasion gives our employees the opportunity to leave the office, interact with coworkers both familiar and new, and appreciate an outing where comradery & competition, not work, is the focal point of the day.
Our New York, New Jersey, & Connecticut offices traveled to Roosevelt Island on the East River for their day of fun. Run by the local recreational sports company, Zog Sports, our employees were divided into 8 color coded teams and competed in a series of events, including volleyball, tug-o-war, and relay races. Once the sweat and dust settled, the White team came out victorious, took home the trophy, and is now allowed bragging rights for exactly one year. Although the competition was fierce, all the teams came together in the end to enjoy complimentary beverages and snacks.
Our Boston office took to the high seas of Boston Harbor en route to a delicious Clam Bake on the famous Spectacle Island. With beautiful views of the Boston skyline looking down upon them, they indulged in some of the most delicious seafood that New England has to offer and wrapped up the afternoon / evening with some lawn games, craft beverages, and a nice bonfire.
Is there anything more Chicago than baseball, hot dogs, and beer? Our Schaumburg office didn’t think so and they acted accordingly. Perched on the renowned Wrigley Rooftops, our Midwest-based team watched the Chicago Cubs put a hurting on the Oakland Athletics with a 10-1 victory. Drinks were drank, dogs were devoured, and good times were had all around!
Constantly graced with beautiful weather, our Florida office forewent the outdoor activities and decided to take their talents to one of the local bowling alleys. They followed the trend of our NYC Tri-State Area offices and decided to make their outing competitive, dividing themselves into five teams for a series of prizes that included Starbucks and American Express gift cards. While only one team came out victorious, everyone’s a winner when there’s free drinks, free food, and friendship!
All in all, “Event Day” at each of our locations was a great success and we look forward to next year’s festivities.
