As we move further into the new year, it looks like 2015’s job market is off to a strong start. In fact, while 2014 was a record year in terms of job growth for both The Execu|Search Group and the US economy as a whole, statistics from this past January are setting 2015 up to be a year of even more growth. For example, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ January Jobs Report, the rapid pace at which jobs were being created in 2014 is expected to continue in 2015. With the economy adding 257,000 in January and the workforce participation rate increasing, experts are noting that the January 2015 Job Report is one of the best reports we have seen since the recession. This notion is also reflected in our internal data which shows that 2015 is already outpacing 2014 by 19% for all job orders received from clients. Our stats also show that opportunities on are on the rise for professionals seeking both full-time and temporary/contract jobs this year, so if you are an individual looking for more information on what these trends mean for your individual sector, please refer to our 2015 Regional Job Market Report.
