The Execu|Search Group Presents At Morris County Chamber Of Commerce Event

Stephanie

On March 2nd, The Execu|Search Group’s Larry Dolinko and Lisa Carver had the opportunity to partner with Morris County Chamber of Commerce for the organization’s Middle Market Forum. At the roundtable, which was attended by CEOs, business owners, and directors, Larry and Lisa leveraged their staffing expertise to advise these hiring decision makers on the best ways to attract and retain talent in an evolving job market.

“The market has changed a great deal since 2008, and employers are facing new challenges as a result,” said Lisa, a Managing Director within The Execu|Search Group’s Temporary Staffing division as well as a member of Morris County Chamber of Commerce. “From competing for talent in the candidate-driven market to engaging with new millennial employees, the attendees have all experienced a diverse range of hiring obstacles. Since these are challenges that we regularly help our clients resolve, we were able to have a very informative discussion on how to adapt their hiring and retention strategies to this new employment landscape.”

For example, Lisa and Larry advised attendees to:

  • Make better, faster offers
  • Emphasize their company culture (through corporate branding and during the hiring process)
  • Focus on transferrable skills, rather than just experience, when hiring
  • Ensure that succession planning is top of mind
